Producer

Podere 414

Italy

Podere 414 is a family-run estate established in 1998 in Magliano in Toscana, in the Maremma between hills and sea. The Castelli family—proprietor and oenologist Simone Castelli, his brother Gaddo, and their father Maurizio—takes a practical, hands-on approach rooted in the local terroir. Its vineyards are organically certified, with all wines produced organically and manual harvesting supporting a respectful, nature-led style. Bees share the pesticide-free ecosystem and are celebrated alongside the vineyards. The estate produces seven wines, including Morellino di Scansano DOCG, Costa Ovest IGT, and Aleatico Passito, described as generous and gastronomic expressions of Maremma. The name “414” recalls the farm’s designation during the 1960 agrarian reform.
