Italy

Pietro Caciorgna is a family-owned estate rooted in Casole d’Elsa, Tuscany, with vineyards also on Mount Etna in Sicily. The farm is run by Pietro Caciorgna and his wife Elda, with winemaking overseen by Paolo Caciorgna. Certified organic, the estate avoids chemical fertilizers and relies on copper, sulfur, organic matter and manual vineyard work, guided by the belief that quality begins in the vineyard and should be preserved carefully in the cellar. In Sicily, the focus is on Nerello Mascalese from high-altitude, volcanic sites on Etna’s north side, including pre-phylloxera vines, while in Tuscany the Osteria delle Macchie vineyard is planted to Sangiovese. The wines aim to express their distinct terroirs through traditional farming and precise, modern vinification.
