Marziano Abbona

Italy

Family-owned Abbona is rooted in Dogliani, Piedmont, with a winemaking tradition dating to the late 19th century and now carried forward by Marziano Abbona, his daughters and granddaughter. Its vineyards span Dogliani, Monforte d’Alba and Novello, including renowned crus such as Doriolo, Ravera, Rinaldi and Pressenda. The family works many parcels by hand, including old vines, using sustainable practices such as cover crops, minimal treatments, no systemic pesticides and a gradual reduction of herbicides. In the cellar, indigenous yeasts, low yields and modern technology support a low-intervention approach focused on terroir. The range includes Dogliani, Barolo, Barbera, Nebbiolo, white wines and Metodo Classico sparkling wines, with an emphasis on elegance, harmony and authentic expression of the Langhe.
