Luigi Maffini is a family-run winery in the Cilento foothills of Campania, owned and operated by Luigi Maffini, his wife Raffaella Gallo and their children. Its vineyards in Giungano, Trentinara and Castellabate—some within a UNESCO World Heritage site—are cultivated organically on varied clay-limestone and silty-sandy soils. All wines are certified organic under EU and Eco-Control IT-BIO-007 standards. The family describes itself as custodian of the land, emphasizing biodiversity, renewable energy, rainwater recycling and recyclable materials. Luigi serves as chief winemaker, continuing a family story that began when his father planted the first vineyard in Castellabate in 1970; the first Kratos vintage followed in 1996. The estate focuses on Fiano wines, including Kratos and Pietraincatenata, and welcomes visitors for vineyard tours and tastings.
