Kooyong Estate is a Mornington Peninsula label housed at Port Phillip Estate and owned by the Gjergja family. Its sustainability-focused philosophy is expressed through low-intervention winemaking: hand-pruned and hand-picked fruit, gravity-flow handling, native-yeast spontaneous fermentations, and unfined, unfiltered wines. The estate focuses on cool-climate maritime Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Noir from vineyards across Tuerong, Red Hill, and Balnarring. Winemaking is led by Tim Perrin, with viticulturist Stuart Marshall also closely involved. Wines are aged in French oak, and the estate holds no formal sustainability certifications.
