Inglenook is a historic Rutherford estate in Napa Valley, founded in 1879 by Gustave Niebaum and stewarded by the Coppola family since 1975, with the property later reunited under the Inglenook name. Rooted in the Rutherford Bench, it combines a long Cabernet Sauvignon legacy with estate-bottled wines overseen by Director of Winemaking Philippe Bascaules since 2011. The estate has practiced organic farming since the 1980s and was among the first Napa Valley vineyards to be certified organic in 1994. Notes also emphasize an experimental, work-in-progress mindset, with attention to climate change, vine age, vintage, and individual vineyard blocks.
