Il Molinaccio

Italy

Il Molinaccio is a small, family-run organic estate in Montepulciano, founded in 2013 by Alessandro Sartini and his partner Marco, with Alessandro as winemaker. The estate works primarily with Sangiovese for Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and other DOC and IGT wines. Its vineyards are certified organic and managed with cover crops and natural methods, while the winery uses native yeasts and no additives. Sustainability extends to photovoltaic power, purified well water and electric-vehicle charging. The restored remains of an historic mill provide the setting for the estate and its vineyard tastings. Alessandro and Marco oversee the process from hand-harvesting and grape selection through vinification and bottling, reflecting a hands-on, complete approach to production.
