Il Carpino is a family-run winery in San Floriano del Collio, near the Slovenian border, founded in 1987. The family controls the entire process from vineyard management and winemaking through to commercialization. Its approach is centered on respectful, rigorous care of the land, with grape varieties planted according to site and deliberately low yields aimed at quality. The vineyards lie on clay and ponca marl soils, contributing minerality to the wines. The winery is also investing in innovative, sustainable technologies and adopting organic farming methods, with the goal of improving both environmental practices and wine quality.
