Gioso is a privately owned, newly launched wine brand founded by Giorgio Sordo in Castiglione Falletto, at the heart of Piedmont’s Langhe. The range draws on native grape varieties from the historic Langhe and Roero territories, including Barolo, Barbaresco, Nebbiolo d’Alba, Barbera, Dolcetto, Roero Arneis and Langhe wines. Its Barolo is sourced from several important communes across the Barolo area, including Castiglione Falletto, Serralunga d’Alba and Monforte d’Alba. Gioso presents these wines through a focus on regional tradition, passion and dedication to quality. The Barolo 2015 received recognition in several international competitions, while later Barolo and Barbaresco vintages have also received strong critical scores.
