Domaine Guiberteau

France

Domaine Guiberteau is a family-owned estate in Saint-Just-sur-Dive in the Loire Valley’s Saumur area, founded in the early 1900s by Clément Manguin and now led by Romain Guiberteau. Organic since 2007, the domaine has farmed organically since 2003 without synthetic chemicals, relying on sulfur, copper, essential oils and plant decoctions, alongside cover crops, plowing, hand pruning and naturally grassed rows. Its vineyards span sites including Bizay, Brézé, Chacé, Montreuil-Bellay and Saint-Just-sur-Dive. In the cellar, Romain Guiberteau works with the influence of Robert Guiberteau and consultant Nady Foucault, favoring native fermentations, minimal oak and a low-intervention approach.
