Domaine de la Garenne

France

Domaine de la Garenne is not a single estate but a name used by several French properties. In Sancerre, it refers to the family-run domaine of Fabienne and Benoît Godon, who both own and make the wines, producing Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and rosé. Notes also link this estate to the Beaumont family, connected by marriage to the Devillard family, with the Godons representing the 10th generation. In the Mâconnais, the name is used for a Chardonnay vineyard overseen by technical advisor Enrico Peyron, while in Bandol it is associated with an estate revived by Beatrix de Balincourt and planted to Mourvèdre, Cinsault and Grenache. Farming references range from integrated and organic to sustainable; some notes mention organic and biodynamic practice, while others report no formal certification.
