Dalva is a boutique Douro port label operated by Granvinhos, Lda., based in Vila Nova de Gaia. Its wines come from a single certified-organic vineyard in the Pinhão River valley, at approximately 600 metres, where traditional Douro varieties are grown on old vines. Grapes are hand-picked, with limited production and low use of added sulfur. The wines are crafted by oenologist José Manuel Sousa Soares, including an organic-certified Ruby Reserve that reflects the estate’s focus on organic viticulture and careful production.
