Collavini

Italy

Collavini is a historic, family-owned estate in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, founded in 1896 by Eugenio Collavini. Now in its fourth generation, the winery is run by Manlio Collavini and his sons Giovanni (head winemaker) and Luigi (sales). With about 172 hectares of vineyards in the Collio and Colli Orientali DOCs, it produces around 1.5 million bottles annually, exporting half to over 50 countries. The winery is noted for its terroir-driven approach, pioneering the white vinification of Pinot Grigio and creating the first sparkling Ribolla Gialla. While it emphasizes sustainable vineyard practices to preserve terroir, no formal certifications are reported. Its wines, including Pinot Grigio, sparkling Ribolla Gialla, and the Broy blend, are crafted with a focus on detail and quality, reflecting a strong identity that remains elegantly faithful to its roots.
