Clos Saint-Fiacre is a family-run estate in Mareau-aux-Prés, in the Loire Valley’s Loiret, managed by Bénédicte Montigny-Piel and Hubert Piel since 2001. The Montigny-Piel family continues a viticultural lineage dating to 1635, working gravelly, calcareous soils with vines averaging 35 years old. The estate practices low-yield, hand-worked viticulture without insecticides, herbicides or pesticides, using cover grass and a sustainable “lutte raisonnée” approach. Wines are estate-bottled and made with minimal sulfur, then aged unfined and unfiltered, reflecting the hands-on philosophy of this longstanding family domaine.
