Château Monbousquet is a Saint-Émilion Grand Cru Classé estate in Bordeaux with origins dating to 1540. After periods of renown, decline, and revival under the Querre family, it entered a new phase when Chantal and Gérard Perse acquired it in 1993, restructuring and draining the vineyard, rebuilding the cellars, and modernizing the estate. Now managed by their daughter Angélique and son-in-law Henrique Da Costa, Monbousquet produces a grand vin, a second wine, and a white wine pioneered in Saint-Émilion by Gérard Perse and Michel Rolland. The estate works with hand harvesting, strict yield selection, sorting, and temperature-controlled vinification, with Michel Rolland as consultant and Jean-Philippe Lavautour in the cellar. No sustainability certifications are reported.
