Bricco Ciarla is a family-owned estate in Treiso, in Piedmont’s Barbaresco zone, with roots dating to Giacomo Marcarino’s purchase of the property in 1962. Today, Massimo Marcarino and Matteo Franchi run the Bricco Ciarla Agricultural Society, founded in 2022, overseeing vineyard work and winemaking. They cultivate about five hectares in Treiso and Neviglie, with limited chemical treatments, organic fertilisation and alternate-row planting. Their classic, terroir-focused wines use spontaneous native-yeast fermentation, submerged-cap maceration and controlled fermentation in concrete and stainless steel. Aging takes place in large French and Austrian oak casks, supporting an expression of the Langhe’s calcareous soils and favourable exposures.
