U Passimiento

Baglio Gibellina is based in an ancient, largely unchanged part of Sicily, where its name recalls the original courtyard surrounded by warehouses once used for grape collection and processing. Vineyards lie at 300–600 metres on clay and volcanic soils, alongside olive groves, citrus, juniper and prickly-pear trees. The winery follows an authentic, gentle, low-intervention approach, aiming to express Sicily’s terroir and native grapes with minimal manipulation and without heavy oak. Sustainability is suggested by this restrained philosophy, although no formal certifications are noted.
