Querciabella

Italy

Querciabella is a family-owned Tuscan estate based in Chianti Classico, with vineyards in Greve, Radda and Gaiole and additional holdings in coastal Maremma near Alberese. Founded in 1974, it was part of the Super Tuscan movement and remains focused on site-driven, artisanal winemaking. The estate is certified organic and vegan, having evolved from biodynamic farming to a plant-based system that rejects animal products and emphasizes biodiversity, cover crops, soil health and environmental balance. Each vineyard is treated individually, with parcel selection and micro-vinification used to preserve distinct site character. Wines are known for elegance, precision and purity, with hand-harvested fruit, careful vinification and patient ageing. Under the Castiglioni family and winemaker Manfred Ing, Querciabella has built a reputation for terroir expression across both classic Chianti Classico and innovative Maremma bottlings.
