Mirassou is a California wine brand with a 160-year family history and a longstanding connection to Pinot Noir in America. Acquired by E. & J. Gallo in 2002, the purchase covered the name and inventory rather than the family’s vineyards or winery facilities. The Mirassou family retains approximately 500 acres in Monterey County and operates a large winery, with sixth-generation members involved in marketing, sales, and viticulture. Wines draw on grapes from California’s leading regions, including Monterey, San Luis Obispo, and Santa Barbara, and are presented as expressive, balanced, and approachable.
