Founded in 1816 by two brothers, Maison Jaffelin is a Burgundy négociant and wine producer based in Beaune, working from historic 12th-century cellars and a winery in Nuits-Saint-Georges. Its wines are made under fermage contracts but treated as domaine wines, with a focus on terroir and traditional savoir-faire. The house emphasizes organic farming, including certified-organic Santenay 1er Gravières vineyards and Agriculture Biologique certification. Since 2011, winemaker Marinette Garnier has directed the wines, overseeing a modest, focused production sourced from selected parcels and growers.
