Louis Barruol is the proprietor and winemaker of his family-owned estate in Gigondas, Rhône Valley, which he inherited from his father Henri in 1992. Under his direction, the estate has moved from supplying bulk wine to producing highly regarded estate and single-vineyard wines. The portfolio also includes wines from the Northern Rhône, other Southern Rhône districts, and New York’s Finger Lakes. Barruol remains the sole owner, combining family continuity with a broad regional approach to winemaking.
