Lo Sparviere is a family-owned Franciacorta estate in Monticelli Brusati, Lombardy, based in a 16th-century villa and led by winemaker Monique Poncelet. Its vineyards, planted to Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, have been farmed organically since 2013 and lie on mineral-rich calcareous marl soils at the foot of the Lombard Prealps. Parcels are vinified separately to express their individual terroirs, then blended before extended bottle aging. The estate produces traditional-method Franciacorta wines including Brut, Extra Brut, Satèn, Rosé and Dosaggio Zero Riserva, with the latter aged 72 months on its lees in the best vintages. Its approach emphasizes careful vineyard work, rigorous grape selection and terroir-driven cellar practices.
