Leon Beyer is a family-owned Alsace estate founded in 1867 and based in Eguisheim, now managed by Marc Beyer and his son Yann-Léon Beyer. The house combines a long family tradition with an emphasis on expressing Alsace’s varied soils and microclimates. Its vineyards are farmed with increasingly environmentally friendly practices focused on biodiversity and soil health, although the estate has no formal sustainability certification. Wines are made from fruit grown in the family’s vineyards as well as from contract growers, and are exported widely. The estate’s approach reflects a commitment to regional identity, artisanal know-how, and quality.
