Julien Sunier

France

Julien Sunier is an independent owner-winemaker based in Beaujolais, with vineyards in Morgon, Régnié and Fleurie. He founded his domaine in 2005 and released his first commercial vintage in 2008, focusing on old Gamay vines across these crus. Sunier farms organically with biodynamic practice, and his wines are made with semi-carbonic maceration, native yeasts, low sulfur, minimal SO₂ and rare filtration. The estate is noted for Organic, Regenerative, Dry Farming and Native Yeast certifications. Before starting his own domaine, Sunier worked for Boisset and also trained with Christophe Roumier, Nicolas Potel and Jean-Claude Rateau.
