Domaine Lachat is a small, owner-operated estate in Régnié-Durette, Beaujolais, run by Anne and Thijs, who moved from Amsterdam in 2018. They farm 3 hectares in the Régnié cru, surrounding their home, and began producing wine in 2020. Their vineyards are managed organically according to regenerative principles, without pesticides or synthetic products, using permanent cover crops, grazing animals, agroforestry, and fruit trees to encourage biodiversity and soil health. Grapes are handpicked and fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, using semi-carbonic maceration and minimal intervention. The domaine is also restoring an old wine farm and offers accommodation, tastings, and vineyard experiences.
