Domaine des Perdrix

France

Domaine des Perdrix is a family-run Burgundy estate in the Côte de Nuits, owned by the Devillard family since 1996 and rooted in five generations of winemaking. Its vineyards lie in Nuits-Saint-Georges, Vosne-Romanée and Échezeaux, including a near-monopoly of the Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Aux Perdrix. The domaine emphasizes Burgundy’s terroir and the historic hierarchy of climats, with meticulous work in the vines, low yields and harvesting at full ripeness. Farming is described as organic in practice, though no formal certification is mentioned. Grapes are hand-harvested and sorted, with natural yeast fermentations also noted. Winemaking has been associated with Robert Vernizeau, and more recently with cellarmaster Benjamin Rousset and technical director Carole Briffox.
