Domaine de la Pigeade is a family estate in Beaumes-de-Venise, in the southern Rhône Valley, active since 1961. Thierry and Marina inherited land shaped by the previous generation, including century-old vines on clay-limestone soils, and produced their first vintage in 1996 after working at Domaine Navarro Vineyard in California’s Mendocino Valley. The vineyards are farmed according to sustainable, reasoned-agriculture principles. Wines are aged in a 16th-century building, with the domaine producing Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise, Beaumes-de-Venise rouge, Vacqueyras, Ventoux and Côtes du Rhône Villages Séguret; a Châteauneuf-du-Pape cuvée is forthcoming. As an adherent of Vignerons Indépendants, the domaine combines family heritage with an independent, hands-on approach and is supported by a young, motivated team.
