Domaine de l’R is a family-owned Chinon estate in France’s Loire Valley, founded in 2007 by winemaker Frédéric Sigonneau and operated with his parents. Its vineyards are certified organic and biodynamic, with natural soil work, sulfur and copper for disease protection, and manual harvesting. In the cellar, gravity-only movement and minimal racking support a low-intervention approach using indigenous yeasts, naturally ripe fruit, and aging in neutral vessels. The wines are made to express their sites clearly and reflect the family’s sustainable, hands-on farming and winemaking.
