Contessa Marina is an Apulian wine brand associated with family-owned Cantine Paololeo, founded in 1989 by Paolo Leo and Roberta D’Arpa and later joined by their four sons. The wines draw on Puglian vineyards, including bush-trained vines up to 70 years old grown near trulli. Its Primitivo is made from organically farmed grapes, though producer-level organic certification is not confirmed. Cantine Paololeo owns 70 hectares and produces approximately five million bottles annually, placing Contessa Marina within a substantial family-run production context.
