Château de La Dauphine is a historic Fronsac estate in Bordeaux, dating to the mid-18th century and named for Marie-Josèphe de Saxe, the Dauphine of France. Owned by the Labrune family since 2015, it works from limestone-based hillside terroirs and is certified organic, with biodynamic farming and Level 3 High Environmental Value certification. The domaine places strong emphasis on biodiversity and lower-impact viticulture, including sheep grazing, beehives, hedges, and broader carbon-footprint initiatives. In the cellar, a gravity-fed, circular winery supports parcel-by-parcel vinification, with fermentations in stainless steel and concrete and ageing in barriques, foudres, and amphorae. The stated style is one of purity, finesse, silkiness, depth, and clear expression of terroir.
