Cantina del Barone is a family-run artisanal estate in Cesinali, Avellino, where the Sarno family has cultivated and vinified only Fiano di Avellino for generations. Antonio Sarno acquired the former baronial estate in the mid-1990s, and the winery remains managed across three generations. Its vineyards lie on sunny, volcanic-origin soils at the foot of Monte Terminio and are farmed organically, with Particella 928 pursuing biodynamic certification and Paone following organic and natural practices. Harvesting is manual, while cellar work uses native yeasts and low sulfur, without selected yeasts or synthetic chemicals. A founding member of the ViTi collective, Cantina del Barone represents a focused, sustainable expression of Irpinian Fiano.
