Founded in 1949 in Orvieto, Cantina Cardèto is a historic cooperative collectively owned by around 80 member growers. Its wines express the hills and distinctive volcanic soils of the Orvieto area, combining respect for local tradition with modern technology and a quality-focused, professionally managed approach. The cooperative has pursued eco-sustainability since 2008 and introduced its first organic wines in 2020, alongside sustainable practices for other varieties. Its portfolio spans several lines, including Vintage, Città, Germano Reale and Pierleone, reflecting a broad interpretation of the territory. Cardèto also produces Umbrian extra-virgin olive oil from olives grown by its members.
