Founded in 2018 by Masters of Wine Andreas Kubach and Sam Harrop, Bideona works in Rioja Alavesa with around 300 small vineyard parcels, including vines more than 50 years old. Its ownership combines winery shareholders, historic suppliers acquired in 2018, and recently incorporated parcels. The producer focuses on expressing terroir and preserving historic ecosystems, with hand-harvested grapes, indigenous and house-cultured yeasts, and minimal-intervention winemaking. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel, followed by short aging in steel, concrete, and oak. No formal sustainability certification is noted, though Bideona is listed as sustainable by NP Wines.
