Akarregi Txiki

Akarregi Txiki is a generational family winery in Getaria, rooted in the Akarregi Txiki and Lasalde farmsteads and formally established in 1996. The third generation continues the family project, producing Getariako Txakolina from its own vineyards, including the indigenous Hondarrabi Zuri and Hondarrabi Beltz. Grapes are harvested by hand and the winery combines traditional methods with temperature-controlled stainless-steel fermentation. Since 2022, native sasiardiak sheep have grazed the vineyards, reducing herbicide use, improving soil life, and providing natural fertilization. Its txakoli style has evolved toward softer, more balanced wines while retaining the freshness, fruit, and slight natural spritz characteristic of the appellation.
