Weingut J. Neus is a family-owned estate in Ingelheim am Rhein, Rheinhessen, founded in 1881 by Josef Neus Senior and run by the Schmitz family since 2012. A VDP member and certified organic producer, it farms old vines on calcareous soils and is committed to ecological practices. The historic vaulted cellar remains central to the estate, with wines matured in wooden barrels and traditional 1,000-litre casks. The winery specialises in Pinot Noir (Spätburgunder), pursuing the highest level of quality through careful, traditional winemaking. Winemaker Julien Meissner leads the production, which is complemented by tastings and tours of the historic cellar.
