Family-owned Weingut Gutzler is rooted in Gundheim in Rheinhessen and led by Christine and Michael Gutzler. The estate focuses on terroir-driven wines from limestone-rich loess and clay-marl soils, with dense planting, reduced yields, natural vineyard management, and meticulous care. Riesling and Spätburgunder are central, alongside Grauburgunder, Weißburgunder, Silvaner, Dornfelder, and rare historical varieties that support regional identity and biodiversity. As a VDP member, Gutzler classifies wines by origin and emphasizes character, freshness, dryness, and ageing potential. Wines are fermented and matured on fine lees in stainless steel or selected wood, while traditional-method Sekt is made in a small, dedicated facility. The estate also produces handcrafted fruit, wild-fruit, and pomace brandies under Gutzler Wilde Wasser.
