Producer

Uccelliera

Italy

Uccelliera is a family-run estate in Castelnuovo dell’Abate, south-east of Montalcino, owned and led by Andrea Cortonesi, who bought the farm in 1986 and serves as winemaker. Rooted in an old homestead with deep local history, the estate works its vineyards by hand under sustainable, organic-style principles, with close attention to soil, grape variety, and vintage. Andrea’s philosophy centers on living in harmony with nature and spending time among the vines to craft pure, distinctive wines that express the character of the land with elegance. In the cellar, spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts supports that site-focused approach.
