Taylor's

Portugal

Founded in 1692, Taylor’s is one of the oldest founding Port houses and remains independent and family owned within the Fladgate Partnership. Based in the Douro, it is dedicated entirely to Port, especially its finest styles, drawing on historic estates including Quinta de Vargellas, Terra Feita and Junco, as well as long-held properties such as Lugar das Lages. Taylor’s combines deep reserves in its Vila Nova de Gaia lodges with traditional Port methods, including hand harvesting, foot treading in granite lagares and careful ageing for long-lived, structured wines. The house is also noted for innovation, having pioneered Chip Dry White Port and launched LBV, while emphasizing sustainable, responsible viticulture in the Douro.
