Soma Vines is a young wine project in Germany’s Nahe, founded in Berlin in 2018 by Antoine Lucchesi and Daisy Merrick and releasing its first vintage in 2020. Since 2023, the founders have harvested rented vines around Eckelsheim in Rhineland-Palatinate, while also working through their Cuve Kollektiv project with growers including Weingut Klenk. The focus is firmly low-intervention: spontaneous fermentation, no fining or filtration, and wines made without added sulfites. Notes also describe sourcing from organic and biodynamic vineyards and a natural-wine approach with minimal sulfite use. Founder-led and boutique in feel, Soma Vines combines Lucchesi’s winemaking with Merrick’s business and label design.
