Slobodné Vinárstvo is a family-owned estate at Majer Zemianske sady in southern Slovakia, rooted in a property reclaimed by the family after more than 40 years of interruption. Agnes Lovecka, Katarina Kuropkova, Andrea and Miso Kuropka run the winery and vineyards with a philosophy of stewardship, authenticity and minimal intervention. Since 2016, the vineyards have been farmed organically, with participation in a biodynamic collective. Wines are made from hand-picked grapes using spontaneous fermentation, without fining or filtration, and are aged in oak, Georgian and Spanish clay amphorae, and Ovoid vessels. The range includes natural whites, reds and orange wines, with a particular focus on Blaufränkisch and the flagship pARTISAN CRU. The estate is regarded as a pioneer of natural winemaking in Slovakia, with wines exported internationally and served at Michelin-starred restaurants.
