Rocky Ridge Vineyard, part of Ridge Vineyards, is based on Howell Mountain in California. Its history began with Dr. Osea Perrone, was revived by William Short, and later developed through a partnership of Stanford Research Institute engineers, including Dave Bennion, Hew Crane, Charlie Rosen, Howard Ziedler, and Paul Draper. Winemaking has been led by Bennion and Draper, following a low-intervention, natural philosophy. The Lytton Springs site is farmed organically. Rocky Ridge Vineyard is also included in Stringer Cellars’ portfolio, indicating a partnership with that label.
