McHenry Hohnen is a family-run Margaret River estate founded by David Hohnen and Murray McHenry, with the next generation involved in its ongoing work. Its three estate vineyards are certified biodynamic and managed with a holistic focus on soil health, biodiversity and long-term sustainability, including composting, cover crops, natural pest management and the use of sheep and pigs. Led by winemaker Jacopo “Japo” Dalli Cani, the winery follows a gentle, minimal-intervention approach with natural fermentations and careful handling. Single-vineyard wines are crafted to express the diversity, seasonal character and provenance of Margaret River, combining old-world experience with exploratory techniques. The Witchcliffe cellar door and Vintners Wine Bar extend this connection through guided tastings, seasonal food and a strong emphasis on local hospitality.
