Mas Laval

France

Mas Laval is a family estate in Aniane, at the heart of the Terrasses du Larzac in Languedoc-Roussillon, run by Joël and Christine Laval. Its vineyards lie among the Arboussas massif, Cévennes foothills and Languedoc garrigue, with traditional red and white varieties including old Carignan. Vineyard work limits mechanical intervention, prioritizing soil care, manual harvesting and grape selection. The estate has been Terra Vitis certified for sustainable agriculture since 2017 and also carries an organic agriculture label. Traditional cellar work includes manual punch-downs and vintage-adapted macerations, followed by 8–24 months in Burgundy barrels and foudres. Wines are blended before bottling and neither filtered nor fined.
