La Soufrandière is a family-owned estate in Burgundy’s southern Mâconnais, owned and operated by brothers Jean-Philippe and Jean-Guillaume Bret since 2000. Its limestone vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically, with Ecocert and Demeter certification; the domaine has avoided herbicides and synthetic chemicals since adopting biodynamic viticulture in 2001. Working with low yields, rigorous grape selection and micro-cuvée production, the brothers craft vibrant, terroir-expressive wines, primarily from Pouilly-Vinzelles, Mâcon-Vinzelles, Saint-Véran and Pouilly-Fuissé. The estate shares a small permanent team with their Bret Brothers négociant business, where they apply the same sustainable standards.
