Jean-Pierre Moueix

France

Founded in 1937 in Libourne, Établissements Jean-Pierre Moueix is a family-owned Bordeaux négociant and vineyard owner focused on the Right Bank. Now led by Christian Moueix and his son Edouard, who also serve as principal winemakers, the house oversees a portfolio of estates in Pomerol, Saint-Émilion and Lalande-de-Pomerol, with additional holdings in Australia and Napa Valley. The group combines merchant activity with estate ownership and follows a sustainability-minded approach in the vineyards, including herbicide elimination through soil tillage, careful canopy management, mating disruption and other measures to reduce pesticide use. Organic and environmental accreditations are noted for some non-Bordeaux holdings.
