Ervideira is a family-owned Alentejo producer making wine since 1880, now managed by the fourth and fifth generations of the Leal da Costa family. Its vineyards are located across family properties in Vidigueira and Reguengos de Monsaraz, with organic certification noted. The estate combines traditional winemaking with modern, experimental approaches, including night harvesting, sparkling wine production, white wine from red grapes, and ageing wines underwater in Alqueva. Sustainability and community involvement are central to the project, including planting arbutus trees, local hiring, and support for the Food Emergency Network. Led by winemaker Nelson Rolo, Ervideira also places strong emphasis on wine tourism, offering cellar visits, tastings, and experiences connected with Alentejo gastronomy.
