Duckhorn Vineyards is a large, publicly traded Napa Valley winery founded in 1976. Its extensive estate portfolio spans roughly 2,200 acres across 38 properties. The winery emphasizes sustainable farming with numerous certifications and a zero glyphosate policy. Head winemaker Renée Ary leads the winemaking, focusing on an artisanal approach with small fermentations. The company, which went public in 2021 and was acquired by a private-equity firm in 2024, is known for its portfolio of luxury wines, including its pioneering Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
