Domaine Thierry Mortet

France

Domaine Thierry Mortet is a family-run estate based in Gevrey-Chambertin, Burgundy, with vineyards across the Côte de Nuits and Dijon vineyard areas, including Gevrey-Chambertin, Daix, Couchey and Chambolle-Musigny. Thierry Mortet took over the family vineyards in 1992, and his daughter Lise joined Thierry and Véronique in 2020, reinforcing the estate’s continuity. The vineyards are farmed organically, with natural treatments and no synthetic chemistry, alongside a commitment to social and ecological responsibility. Grapes are hand-harvested and rigorously sorted before traditional, minimally interventionist fermentation. The estate produces expressive Burgundy wines, including Gevrey-Chambertin, Marsannay, Chambolle-Musigny and Bourgogne Aligoté, noted for soft, warm tannins, aromatic persistence and ageing potential.
