Domaine Rostaing

France

Family-owned Domaine Rostaing was founded in 1971 by René Rostaing in Côte-Rôtie, in the Rhône Valley, and is now run by René and his son Pierre, who took over winemaking and management in the mid-2000s. The estate’s holdings include historic parcels such as La Landonne and Côte Blonde, with vineyards originally acquired from Albert Dervieux-Thaize and Marius Gentaz. Farming follows lutte raisonnée, without artificial fertilizers or herbicides, and the grapes are hand-harvested. In the cellar, Pierre Rostaing works with indigenous yeasts, low yields, and limited new oak, maintaining a traditional, low-intervention style. No formal sustainability certification is reported.
