OBORA is a boutique domaine based in Chénas in Beaujolais, founded and jointly run by Angela Quiblier and Hugo Foizel. The estate is certified organic and biodynamic, with a clear focus on sustainable viticulture. In the cellar, they follow a minimalist approach, fermenting with natural yeasts and bottling wines unfined and unfiltered, with only a small sulfite addition before bottling. The domaine is closely shaped by its founders’ hands-on involvement and training: Quiblier has a background in food science and oenology, while Foizel trained in viticulture and oenology.
